Description

With Advanced Activity ColourCoding, you may automatically assign a colour to your activities based on the user the activity is scheduled for, the type of activity (standard like meeting, call, to-do or custom) or the priority of the activity. You know how Act! colourcodes your activities based on the priority of the activity (red for high, etc). Advanced Activity ColourCoding allows you to do the same based on the user the activity is scheduled for OR the type of activity OR the priority. Colouring activities based on the user they are scheduled for. If you choose this option, you’ll need to assign a colour to all users of the database (or leave it at black, the default). Once this is done: you’ll be able to colourcode the existing activities every time you’ll open the Schedule Activity window, the colour will be preselected and will change according to your colour assignments if you change the Scheduled For user. Colouring activities based on the type of activity You may also choose to colourcode based on the type of activity. This include the default types (call, meeting, to-do, etc.) and any activity type you may have created. Colouring activities based on the priority of the activity Isn’t that what Act! already does? Indeed but using Advanced Activity ColourCoding, gives you a couple of extra features: First, you can choose to assign any colour you want to the priorities Second and more importantly, once you assign a colour to a priority, even if you change the colour once, the next time you open the Schedule Activity window, it will default back to your colour assignment. Act! will use the same colour as your last activity. Not allowing the user to change the activity colour manually. If you don’t want your users to be able to manually change the colour, therefore to force them to stick with your colour assignments, you can do so. It is an option in the window.
